Confederate flag flies over GOP debate site

An airplane dragging a huge Confederate flag flew over the North Charleston, South Carolina site where tonight’s republican debate is to be held.

The pilot was also dragging a banner that read “No Votes for Turncoats” an apparent afront to those who aided in last year’s removal of the flag and several Civil War memorials.

The group “Save Southern Heritage” took credit for the the flyover in a press release Thursday afternoon.

“This is a message to Mrs. Haley and the other GOP traitors who turned their back on the average SC voter by bringing down the Confederate Memorial flag at the Statehouse Confederate Memorial. We will not forget this treason!”
