The New York Times stated that the Trump transition is “in disarray” while Politico reported that the incoming administration has left the entirety of the government “in limbo” because Donald hasn’t filed some paperwork.
President-elect Donald J. Trump’s transition was in disarray on Tuesday, marked by firings, infighting and revelations that American allies were blindly dialing in to Trump Tower to try to reach the soon-to-be-leader of the free world.
Holy crap! Let’s just disband the states and abolish the electoral college if this is how things are going…
To pile on in a full display of partisan bias, Politico.com reported that the entirety of the government is now in limbo because Trump hasn’t given them a piece of paper.
To get access to the agencies and receive briefings, the Trump transition needs to give the White House its code of ethics, a list of its transition team members and an acknowledgment that the team members have signed the code. None of this has been filed — and it leaves the federal agencies in limbo, wondering and waiting when the new boss and his people will show up.
If our government agencies are so fragile that a single letter would dismantle them, perhaps it’s time to downsize and simplify every single one of them.
But, if Politico had asked the Trump team about their plans to coordinate with government agencies, they may have learned what Roll Call found:
The transition office will announce the members of four “landing teams” on Thursday that will begin working with the Pentagon, State Department, Justice Department and National Security Council.
The New York Times has failed in its false promise to cover elections, politics, and the incoming president in a fair way and Politico never even bothered with such a statement. Have the NYT and Politico now garnered “fake news” status from the self-acclaimed bastions of truth: Facebook and Twitter? Not likely.
Of course, we expect tabloids like Rolling Stone to go full-on attack – and they did:
Unfortunately for anyone still waiting for the mythical Trump pivot, the president-elect is poised to stock his cabinet with many of the same unsavory characters who enabled his unlikely rise. The Trump White House’s first two employees are Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steve Bannon and RNC Chair Reince Priebus.
Reince Priebus is an unsavory character? Only if you’re a left-wing zealot’s coffee table rag.
Trump was elected one whole week ago and most administrations take between 4 and 6 weeks to assemble their central cabinet.
The pure intellectual dishonesty of the media would be astounding if it hadn’t been evident for more than a decade.
Oh, and about those foreign leaders flailing about trying to get in touch with the president-elect – they seem to have gotten through just fine as Trump’s transition website reported:
President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence have spoken with the following foreign leaders who have offered their congratulations on winning this historical presidential election.
