President Trump used his favorite media outlet to snipe at NBC News’ Chuck Todd and his news organization asking when they will “stop with the Fake [sic] Trump/Russia story?”
Just before 9 am eastern this morning, the president wrote, “When will Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd and @NBCNews start talking about the Obama SURVEILLANCE SCANDAL and stop with the Fake Trump/Russia story?”
The tweet may be return fire for Todd’s Friday on-air rant during which he claimed that Trump was becoming a “lame duck” president and that the “Russia cloud darkens all the time” referencing the narrative NBC has been pushing that Trump and/or his staff colluded with Russia to take down Hillary’s run for president.
About 20 minutes later, President Trump aimed his Fake news cannon at the media in general tweeting, ““It is the same Fake News Media that said there is ‘no path to victory for Trump’ that is now pushing the phony Russia story. A total scam!””
In recent White House press briefings, reporters have hammered on Sean Spicer by re-asking the same questions about who let Rep. Nunes onto the White House campus and wanting to know who he met with whom while immediately coming to the defense of Dr. Evelyn Frakas who admitted on-air that she was involved in the collection and dissemination of classified intelligence during the transition.
When NPR’s Tamara Keith asks how Dr. Farkas could be involved since she left the administration in 2015, Spicer responded, “exactly. Have you asked her?” The reporter indicated she had not and Press Secretary Sean Spicer points out her apparent bias.
According to Farkas was in contact with administration officials in late 2016 demanding that they “get as much intelligence as you can!” and “That’s why you have all the leaking.”
