McConnell delays health care vote[Video]

Washington, D.C. – Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell (R-KY) announced Tuesday that Republicans wouldn’t be voting on the new health care bill until after the 4th of July recess.

What does this mean?

McConnell hasn’t garnished enough support with fellow Senate Republicans to ensure the successful passage of the bill. President Trump has been trying his best to get some hesitant Senators on board. As reported by CNN, President Trump talked with Mike Lee (R-UT) to recruit him despite his outspoken criticism of the new health care bill because he does not believe it will actually bring down health care premiums.

President Donald Trump also spoke with Sens. Rand Paul (R-KY), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Ted Cruz (R-TX)  and Shelley Moore (R-WV).

Vice President Pence is scheduled to meet with Sens. Lankford (R-OK), Lee (R-UT), Sasse (R-NE) and Cotton (R-AR) to discuss the health care bill.
