ESPN Pulls Asian-American Football Announcer from Game Because His Name is Robert Lee

Considering the great national media freak out after the incidents in Charlottesville and the subsequent war on statues, it’s hard to see how we haven’t reached PEAK hysteria yet.

These bizarre times of national madness, kept humming along by a corrupt media led by CNN which has shown itself to be sympathetic to domestic terrorist group ANTIFA, are continuing with an outrageous move by ESPN.

Once the greatest sports network on the planet, ESPN has degenerated into a liberal slop bucket of racial politics and social commentary but they have really outdone themselves this time.

Out of a fear of triggering football watching snowflakes, the bigwigs at ESPN have removed a broadcaster from University of Virginia football games because his name Robert Lee, is too similar to the famous Confederate general.

Mr. Lee is an Asian-American.

Via The Hill “ESPN pulls announcer Robert Lee from U-Va. football coverage”:

ESPN removed announcer Robert Lee from coverage of the University of Virginia’s opening football game “simply because of the coincidence of his name,” according to CNN.

Lee, an Asian-American, was pulled over his shared name with the Confederate general in an attempt to avoid controversy, CNN reported.

Lee will instead cover the Youngstown State vs. Pitt football game, which won’t be televised.

ESPN told CNN that the sports network “collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding.”

“In that moment it felt right to all parties,” ESPN said. “It’s a shame that this is even a topic of conversation and we regret that who calls play-by-play for a football game has become an issue.”

Not only is it an unhinged overreaction that only feeds the climate of fear and loathing that the left and their media allies have been fomenting since Charlottesville but it is also discrimination.

ESPN is getting ripped over the decision, we will see if a reversal is upcoming or at the very least, an apology.
