President Donald Trump took a handful of questions Thursday after his meeting with Vice President Mike Pence.
President Trump and Vice President Pence appeared outside the Bedminster Golf Club, where he said he’s having meetings on Venezuela, North Korea, and other topics. Trump spoke for about seven minutes and answered several questions.
The president held a full press conference later in the afternoon. We will post the video as soon as it becomes available.
Trump remarked that while some have criticized his comments on North Korea to be bombastic, he felt his language may not have been tough enough.
“It’s about time someone stood up for the people of our country,” Trump said. His statements were backed up by the military “100%.”
The president declined to comment on the possibility of a preemptive strike saying, “We don’t talk about that. We never do.”
He said the U.S. has been negotiating with North Korea for 25 years criticizing both President’s Obama and Clinton for a failure to prevent the nuclearization of the Korean peninsula
