The unfolding mayhem in the streets of St. Louis that began on Friday will likely continue to be a problem for the foreseeable future as agitators feed the fire and police are facing overwhelming odds to keep order.
The acquittal of a former cop who killed a black man in 2011 after a high-speed chase resulted in street protests that soon after dark, turned violently ugly with a number of thugs launching an assault on the mayor’s home. Nine police officers were wounded after they were attacked by a brick-throwing mob of angry miscreants.
With the National Guard ready to move in and the risk for guerilla and urban warfare mounting, security has deteriorated to the point where liberal do-gooder Bono and his superstar bandmates in U2 have been forced to cancel their Saturday concert in the city.

U2’s concert scheduled for Saturday night in St. Louis has been cancelled because St. Louis police told the band they can’t provide the usual level of security because of protests that have erupted in the city.
“We have been informed by the St. Louis Police Department that they are not in a position to provide the standard protection for our audience as would be expected for an event of this size,” Live Nation and U2 said in a joint statement.
The statement added that because “local crowd security personnel would not be at full capacity,” they “cannot in good conscience risk our fans’ safety by proceeding with tonight’s concert.
“As much as we regret having to cancel, we feel it is the only acceptable course of action in the current environment,” the statement concludes.
It’s probably a good decision on the band’s part because if all hell does indeed break loose, the police are going to have their hands full quelling the race riots and protecting their turf and the property of others from idiots who want to BURN THIS SHIT DOWN!
St. Louis was the latest stop on the band’s tour to perform their iconic 1987 album The Joshua Tree live in its entirety as well as for Bono to take cheap shots at President Trump. Refunds will be issued for those who bought tickets.
