President Donald Trump told reporters Thursday that building the wall would have to be included in any deal on DACA.
“If there’s not a wall, were doing nothing.,” Trump said indicating that Democrats, if they want DACA enshrined into law, will need to agree to fund the border barrier.

The clarification comes after backlash over statements and tweets issued by the president, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer about the outcome of a dinner the three shared Wednesday night.
Pelosi and Schumer stated that they had a deal with Trump that included DACA and excluded the wall. The White House and Trump said that no deal had been made that excluded the wall.
The back-and-forth that ensued did little to clear up whether the wall would or would not be included and led to a massive outcry by Conservative politicians, pundits, and voters. This backlash likely prodded Trump to make a statement as he landed in Florida to visit areas hit by Hurricane Irma.
