Oakland Raiders problem child and locker room cancer Marshawn Lynch has been hit with a one-game suspension for his conduct during Thursday night’s NFL game with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Lynch was ejected from the game after he sprinted from the sidelines to protect his homeboy Marcus Peters from his own teammates and the referees.
During the ensuing scrum, Lynch grabbed and shoved one of the officials.
The NFL simply couldn’t just let this go, not with ratings in the toilet and fan discontent over the league’s descent into left-wing, racial politics and the ongoing protests against President Trump during the national anthem.
On Friday, the league hit Lynch with the mild suspension and an unpaid one at that. This is not going over well with the surly former Seattle Seahawk who isn’t going to accept the consequences for his outburst and will appeal the punishment.
According to Pro Football Talk “Report: Marshawn Lynch will appeal suspension”:
Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch will appeal his one-game suspension, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. A hearing is expected early next week.
The league suspended Lynch for leaving the sideline Thursday night during an on-field skirmish and then shoving an official.
Unless Lynch wins his appeal, he will miss the Raiders’ Oct. 29 game against the Bills.
Now there is a good example to young people about taking responsibility for one’s own actions but he stands to lose $79,411 over it and he does have priorities.
This could turn into another shit storm if the suspension is upheld. Lynch has been protesting the national anthem and will undoubtedly claim that he is being unfairly persecuted as a result.
