Hillary: Investigating me is abuse of power – like dictatorship

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Wednesday that an investigation into her involvement with the sale of Uranium One to Russia’s Rosatom would be “like some dictatorship” where political opponents are “unfairly, fraudulently investigated.”

President Donald Trump had publicly urged the Justice Department to look into Hillary’s dealings with Fusion GPS, Uranium One, and Russia. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said this week that the Department of Justice is looking into whether or not a special counsel investigation is warranted.

“This appears to be the politicization of the Justice Department,” Clinton told Mother Jones on Wednesday. “This is such an abuse of power. It goes right at the rule of law.”

Clinton’s foundation received a surge of funds prior to the sale of Uranium One, a sale Hillary’s State Department had a role in approving or denying. Her husband also received unusually large speaking fees from a Russian group before the State Department approved the sale.

“This Uranium One story has been debunked countless times,” Hillary exclaimed.

Clinton’s reaction to the possibility of an investigation smacks of guilt. If there was nothing to hide, why rebuff an examination into her ties to Russia?

She called any look into her involvement “personally offensive” clearly believing she’s above the rule of law for which she feigned concern.
