Presidential Itinerary – the details

President Donald Trump will receive his daily briefing as prepared by the intelligence community then have lunch with Vice President Mike Pence.

In the evening, the president will visit First Lady Melania Trump who is resting at Walter Reed Medical Center after a kidney procedure.

About First Lady Melania Trump

This morning, First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition.  The procedure was successful and there were no complications.  Mrs. Trump is at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will likely remain there for the duration of the week.  The First Lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere.

On the Visit of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres

President Donald J. Trump will welcome United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres to the White House on May 18, 2018. The meeting between President Trump and Secretary-General Guterres will reaffirm the commitment of the United States to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the United Nations. The two leaders will discuss issues of mutual interest, including North Korea, Syria, and reform of the United Nations, as well as other common threats and challenges.
