Watch: President Trump, Vice President Pence, First Lady welcome American returnees home

President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and First Lady Melania Trump welcome home three Americans (Kim Dong Chul, Kim Hak-song and Kim Sang Duk) recently freed from North Korea. The president and first lady met with the three men at 2:54 a.m.

“We want to thank Kim Jong Un who really was excellent to these three incredible people,” the president said. “They are really three incredible people and the fact that we were able to get them out so soon is .. really a tribute to a lot of things including a certain process that is taking place right now.”

“So, I just want to say, this is a special night for these three really great people and congratulations on being in this country,” he added.

The three men released a statement thanking President Trump, Secretary of State Pompeo and the people of the United States for their safe return.

“We would like to express our deep appreciation to the United States government, President Trump, Secretary Pompeo, and the people of the United States for bringing us home. We thank God, and all our families and friends who prayed for us and for our return. God Bless America, the greatest nation in the world.”
