Candace Owens: Hollywood acts as a megaphone for the left

“Hollywood has acted almost as a megaphone for the left,” said Turning Point USA communications director Candace Owens Thursday.

Appearing on “Fox and Friends”, Owen’s discussed a recent tweet from Hollywood director Rob Reiner:

“The greatest gift we can give to America on her 242nd birthday is the survival of Democracy,” Reiner tweeted. “The forces of authoritarianism and racism are fighting to destroy it. Now is the time for Patriots to stand up and make our voices heard. We love you America. STAY STRONG!!!”

Owens argued back saying patriots’ voices are being heard and that’s why Donald Trump is sitting in the oval office:

“Thank you, Rob Reiner. I would say patriots are standing up and having their voices heard and that’s why Donald Trump is sitting in the oval office. Hollywood has almost acted as a megaphone for the left.  It wasn’t just Hollywood that tweeted this, there was also a tweet from Kamala Harris about Illegal immigrants and illegal immigration.”

Owens further commented on claims the left is UnAmerican. Ownes argued that statements such as the one from Reiner don’t defeat the notion that the left is UnAmerican:

“On this one day, you think they could hit pause and celebrate this great nations our troops – you know the many troops that are still alive who fought in wars and they are unable to do it. So they don’t defeat the notion whatsoever that we all feel, that the left is UnAmerican and Hollywood is just a megaphone for them.”
