The Hypocrisy on the Left on Securing American Elections 

With so much focus on foreign interference in our 2016 elections, you’d think Democrats in this country would want to do anything and everything to secure our elections, right? Well, you’d be wrong.

Democrats like Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and others have called on Congress to approve millions of dollars in spending to secure our elections for the midterms. Here’s a question, where is the focus on securing American elections from domestic threats? Oh, that’s right Democrats conveniently choose not talk to about or even acknowledge the fact that domestic threats exist.  Illegal aliens voting is not a problem for the left.

The point is simple, Democrats demanded millions of dollars be spent to secure our elections but simply asking to see an ID to vote to confirm only U.S. citizens are voting is just too controversial, outrageous etc.

So what Democrats really mean is that they only care about securing elections if it benefits them. If Democrats really wanted to secure American elections, they wouldn’t be conveniently ignoring the serious issue of voter fraud which poses a serious threat to the legitimacy of elections.

Think about it, how many times have you heard politicians, primarily Democrats talk about Russian inference in our elections and the need to further secure them? I’m sure a lot.

Now think about how many times you have heard politicians, primarily Democrats talk about securing our elections by ensuring only American citizens are voting? Probably not much or never.  And that’s the hypocrisy.

Election security is important there’s no doubt about it. But why is it that only foreign attacks on our elections are deemed serious? Why do Democrats want to spend millions of dollars to prevent foreign interference, but nothing to protect election integrity from more direct threats?
