Dick’s Sporting Goods Re-Affirms Its Hatred of America

Dick’s Sporting Goods doesn’t appear to like America very much.

The sporting goods retailer pulled sporting rifles from the shelves several years ago angering hunters and shooting enthusiasts alike. Later, they took back that decision and again served the sporting community – although to a much smaller crowd as most of us decided to never set foot in a Dick’s again. Later they decided to quit selling sporting rifles, pulled standard capacity magazines from their shelves and otherwise restricted what lawful gun enthusiasts could purchase in their stores.

Now, it appears, they believe that there is more they can do to show disdain for the American way of life.

Dick’s Sporting Goods announced Friday that they would end their sponsorship of the U.S. Olympic Team. Their sponsorship offered flexible work schedules and compensation during training – benefits valuable to athletes who represent our country with no other source of income.

Dick’s says that U.S. Olympic athletes can keep their jobs at the stores but have to move to a part-time schedule that has no consideration for the training time they need to win in international competition.

When asked how an American retailer could do such a thing, the company only cited a “new investment focus.” I’ll wager a guess that they’re selling out to the Chinese – nothing else makes sense.

Dick’s disdain for the Second Amendment and America’s athletes who compete internationally out of pride for this country cannot be excused. If their progressive firearms policies and questionable decision making haven’t kept you out of Dick’s stores, this latest travesty ought to.

Hey, Dick’s, if you’re selling out to the Chinese, don’t let the door hit you in the #$$.
