President Donald Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery Saturday afternoon to join Wreaths Across America volunteers in laying wreaths at headstones of veterans.
“They do a great job, a really great job. Thank you,” Trump said of the volunteers.
The president’s visit was unscheduled and unintended to be public. The media was asked not to report the visit until Trump left the cemetery.
President Trump mentioned during the visit that he was hoping to expand the cemetery with the acquisition of nearby land.
The president also answered a question on the Texas Federal Court ruling that deemed Obamacare unconstitutional with the tax no longer in the law.
“We’ll sit down with the Democrats, if the Supreme Court upholds, we’ll be sitting down with the Democrats and we will get great health care for our people, that’s a repeal and replace, handled a little bit differently,” Trump responded. “It was a big, big victory by a highly respected judge, highly, highly respected in Texas.
“We’ll have to sit down with the Democrats to do it, but I’m sure they want to do it also,” he added.
