White House: Speaker Pelosi is Ignoring ‘Needs of the American People’

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham released a statement Thursday calling out Speaker Nancy Pelosi for failing to do the work of the people while leading a sham impeachment effort against a duly-elected president.

“At this morning’s press conference, Speaker Nancy Pelosi could have finally announced a vote on the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement that would immediately help America’s farmers, ranchers, businesses, and workers; or outlined a plan to work with the President to lower prescription drug prices; or addressed our Nation’s infrastructure,” Grisham said. ” Instead, Speaker Pelosi did exactly what she always does – ignore the needs of the American people and advance her selfish political desires. Democrats’ sham impeachment is a blatant, purely partisan attempt to overturn the results of a free and fair election.”

“By their own admission, Democrats say they have to “impeach the President” because they cannot defeat him at the ballot box,” she added.

It’s not just the White House the Democrats intended to win using the impeachment circus. Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley pointed out earlier this week that the impeachment was supposed to hurt Republicans in the Senate as well. The only ones losing support due to the ill-conceived coup attempt are Democrats.

President Trump’s approval ratings have stayed even with Obama’s for the entirety of the hearings and even saw a slight bump when the circus was in full force.

“Despite the past month’s highly publicized House impeachment hearings, the president earned a monthly job approval of 47% in November, up one point from October,” wrote pollster Rasmussen Reports.

While Democrat voters have started to lose interest in the impeachment proceedings, American voters now are less hopeful that Congress will ever pass the greatly beneficial U.S.-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA) as Democrats are too busy holding sham hearings.

Grisham pointedly called our Speaker Pelosi as the leader of the do-nothing Democrats and asks how many in her party will follow continue to follow her down this dangerous path?

“How many Democrats will join [Pelosi] driving right off the cliff with this illegitimate impeachment hoax?” Grisham asks. “Speaker Pelosi’s instruction to advance this impeachment process – one that has violated every precedent – moves this Country toward the most partisan and illegitimate subversion of the Constitution in our history.”

This is likely just the beginning of the Trump campaign’s use of impeachment against the Democrats in 2020. Polls show that it is working.
