Sorry Dems: Biden Admits $50k Student Loan Forgiveness Won’t Happen

While moderates are already experiencing regret over having chosen Biden-Harris or Harris-Biden, now the extreme left is reeling in full-on voter-remorse after President Biden told them that a major plank of the progressive platform won’t happen.

During a CNN town hall Tuesday that mostly felt like a scripted political event Biden was asked what he would do to make $50,000 student loan forgiveness happen. He replied simply, “I will not.”

“Loans are crushing my family, friends, and fellow Americans. The American dream is to succeed, but how can we fulfill that dream when debt is many people’s only option for a degree?” a young woman asked. “We need student loan forgiveness beyond the potential $10,000 your administration has proposed. We need at least a $50,000 minimum. What will you do to make that happen?”

Biden replied, “I will not make that happen.”

Biden basically sent a message to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to abandon the Schumer – Warren plan to immediately forgive $50,0000 of student loan debt for everyone.

Instead, Biden said he favors tax-payer funded community college for all and taxpayer funded public university for families making less than $150,000 per year.

Biden’s model basically extends the k-12 taxpayer-funded public education model all the way up to at least an associate’s degree and all the way to a bachelor’s degree for families making under $125,000 or students who live in areas where their community colleges offer 4-year programs. Why both of these are fundamentally-flawed is a completely separate article.

This abandonment of a left-wing dream comes just after his executive order forcing female athletes to compete with biologically female athletes, the cancelation of the Keystone XL pipeline, and an unpopular open-borders agenda. Biden has found ways to alienate everyone from soccer moms to gullible young progressives.

Republicans have their work cut out for them in 2022. Whether or not they are up to the task is a different question.
