Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary told border agents Thursday that the border crisis is “unsustainable” and that “we’re going to lose.”
Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas specifically told the agents that if “borders are the first line of defense,” all hope is lost.
“We can’t continue like this, our people in the field cant continue and our system isn’t built for it,” he told the agents in audio leaked to Fox News by a Border Patrol source.
In response, a frustrated agent rebuffed Mayorkas’ claims saying that if allowed to do their jobs, they could handle it.
“For those of us who have been around here long enough … we don’t need to reinvent the wheel,” the agent told Mayorkkas. “We’ve had this happen before. We know exactly how to shut it down. We need to make illegal entry illegal.”

The tension between agents and the administration is obvious and growing as illegal aliens are strewn about the country, many previously untested for COVID-19.
“Federal border agents confirmed how the recent surge of illegal aliens, particularly unaccompanied minors, is due to President Joe Biden‘s systematic dismantling of the successful border security measures implemented by former President Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress,” Rep. Jim Hagedorn (MN-01) said in a statement.
Biden’s missteps on the border crisis include the end of the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy that successfully stemmed the tide of aliens during the Trump administration, a return to ‘catch-and-release’, stoppage of border wall construction, assigning Vice President Harris as the “border czar”, terminated ‘safe third-country’ agreements, and ended repatriation of illegal alien minors to the home countries.

210,000 illegal aliens crossed the Mexico-U.S. border in July – a record. Another 37,000 are thought to have evaded authorities.
