Spain’s Ministry of Health reported an additional 25 cases of Monkeypox this week bringing the total case count to 84.

Officials said that those infected are all suffering mild symptoms are are isolating in their homes.
Health Minister Carolina Darias said Wednesday that Spain is expecting to purchase monkeypox vaccines and anti-viral medications as part of a European Union joint purchase agreement.
The World Health Organization said Thursday that monkeypox has spread to more than 20 countries, but believes the outbreak to be containable.
“We expect more cases to be detected. We are asking countries to increase surveillance,” Van Kerkhove said during a Q&A on the global health agency’s social media platforms. “This is a containable situation. It will be difficult, but it’s a containable situation in the non-endemic countries,” she said.
The strain causing the rise in infections is a milder west African strain and most patients recover in just a few weeks.
There are currently more than 200 suspected or confirmed cases of monkeypox across the globe.
