Mike Lindell bashes MTG for supporting McCarthy

After a highly contentious House speaker election, Kevin McCarthy sprinted to the finish line, thus, becoming speaker of the House of Representatives. It took 15 rounds for McCarthy to win it, since round after round, he was unable to reach the threshold of 218 votes needed to become speaker. House Republicans such as Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, Chip Roy, and Matt Rosendale, refused to cast their votes for McCarthy. However, the spotlight was on Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Marjorie Taylor Greene was blasted by My Pillow CEO, Mike Lindell, for not sticking to her word. As reported by BPR, Mike Lindell stated, “You know, I just think that she, I mean, it’s her choice. But obviously, she was promised something, and I don’t know if that promise helps the people, you know what I mean”. Accordingly, it is perceived that Mike Lindell was referring to the benefits McCarthy provided House Republicans if they voted for him.

Additionally, Mike Lindell conveyed his disappointment for Marjorie Taylor Greene stating, “It’s disappointing anyone that went for McCarthy because we need a different input to get a different output, and that includes Marjorie Taylor Greene”. Contrarily, Mike Lindell expressed his happiness when Matt Gaetz, representative of Florida, nominated Donald Trump to be speaker of the House.

Moreover, it was seen as an idiosyncrasy that Marjorie Taylor Greene would vote for McCarthy. Anyone with an interest in politics, assiduously comprehends that Marjorie Taylor Greene is an incredulously controversial figure of the Republican Party, oftentimes, going against her own party. As aforementioned, Mike Lindell’s thesis was the fact that Greene, who was stripped of her committee assignments under Nancy Pelosi, worked out a deal with McCarthy, in order to be placed back on committees. Although Marjorie Taylor Greene firmly supported McCarthy, 20 members of the House Freedom Caucus were hesitant to support Kevin McCarthy. Consequently, it took 15 rounds for McCarthy to finally become elected speaker after many concessions were made.

In Accordance, throughout the rigorous speaker election, Marjorie Taylor Greene consistently urged her Freedom Caucus colleagues to vote for McCarthy and end the political charade. Supporters for McCarthy also included President Donald Trump. On Truth Social, President Trump stated, “Some really good conversations took place last night, and it’s now time for all of our GREAT Republican House members to VOTE FOR KEVIN. To date, Mike Lindell has not publicly disagreed with Trump in regard to his endorsement for Kevin McCarthy, however, anti-McCarthy House members, such as Matt Gaetz and Laren Boebert expressed that Trump was “wrong” to support Kevin McCarthy.
