Minneapolis City Council cracks down on Uber, making it hard to do business in the city.

Lyft said it plans to shut down operations in Minneapolis. Uber and Lyft announced their eventual suspension of services in Minneapolis following the City Council’s authorization of a new city ordinance. Specifically, the ordinance would require Uber and Lyft drivers to be paid a “minimum compensation.”
