Former President Bill Clinton Hospitalized

Former President Bill Clinton was hospitalized in Washington, D.C. after developing a fever on Monday, according to Angel Ureña, his deputy chief of staff.

Clinton, 78, is currently undergoing tests and observation at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, according to a post Ureña published on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“He is in good spirits and grateful for the care he is receiving.

Sources close to Clinton, the 42nd president, said the situation was under control and there was no cause for immediate concern. “The former president will be fine. He developed a fever and wanted to be checked out. He is awake and alert,” one source told NBC News.

Clinton’s health has been a recurrent issue since his departure from office in 2001, according to NBC News. He spent six days in a California hospital in 2021 due to a urological infection that escalated into his bloodstream. His medical history includes significant interventions such as a quadruple bypass surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2004 and a subsequent procedure in 2010 to insert two stents into a coronary artery. Despite these health challenges, Clinton campaigned for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris earlier this year.
