Biden Is Concerned With His Legacy While America Repairs His Damage

Joe Biden turned into a bitter, angry man in July when his friends Pelosi and Schumer threw him over the political cliff. Since then, he has mailed in the job and became the epitome of a lame duck. He has taken trips to Italy, South Africa, and the Amazon. He enjoyed vacations in Nantucket and the Caribbean. He has been on vacation for over 45% of his term and worked half days when he did punch in. He is making good use of his pen while away and still doing harm to this country and embarrassing himself and the office with every order he signs.

Recently, he has claimed he should have stayed in the race and would have beaten Donald Trump. He also told reporters he has no regrets about any decisions made in the White House. Unfortunately for Joe, who is concerned about how history will tell his story, it is an angry and disappointed America that has many regrets for the last four years, and number one was getting snookered by an aging lifetime politician who never should have seen the business side of the resolute desk.

There is no escaping reality, and Biden hoping for favorable treatment by people looking back on his presidency is a pipe dream. The only thing I can point to is Biden declaring the Bald Eagle the national bird. I cannot believe it has not been done before. Other than that, I consider the Biden term a total failure for America. You can start with the debacle of the Afghanistan retreat. It was not just the loss of 13 of America’s finest, but the equipment and infrastructure left for the enemy. Billions of dollars worth of equipment were left in the desert sand and runways of Afghanistan, equipment that would be used, once again, by ISIS, Taliban, and Chinese. It is a failure of men, women, and equipment, yet not an act the president feels remorse or regret.

The destruction of the sovereign border of our country, the erosion of faith and trust in our military, the inflation that hurt every family, especially low-income Americans, and the harm done to our image as a world leader are some of the issues that will haunt Biden and Harris in the future, What Biden has done since the election is indicative of the negative thoughts people have that contributes to the worst favorability rating of any president ending his time in the White House. It isn’t easy to expect a favorable legacy when only 20% of the country thinks the country is on the right track. That rating means that you have lost 60% of your party. Spending the last ten weeks on vacation, traveling overseas, pardoning 1,500 of the most dangerous felons, and hanging medals around the necks of people like Liz Cheney is too much for even ardent supporters to back. After years of saying it would not happen, the pardon of his son is not going without scrutiny from both sides of the aisle, and he is not done yet. There are rumors he may pardon Liz Cheney, the same woman he hung a medal on, and Anthony Fauci. Why do people with no charges against them need pardons? We will know who the Bid Guy is when he pardons his entire family, including himself.

Joe can stop worrying about his legacy and probably his library, too, but can spend his time writing a book about a failed political life that was worth a $20 million advance. Isn’t capitalism great, Joe?
