Turning Point USA’s (TPUSA) “All-American Halftime Show” garnered at least 25 million views Sunday, despite the organization being unable to stream on X.
The conservative student organization announced the alternative halftime show after the National Football League (NFL) named Bad Bunny as the main performer for the Super Bowl LX halftime show. TPUSA spokesman Andrew Kolvet broke news of the audience totals, which didn’t include totals from X because “licensing restrictions” caused the cancellation of a planned livestream on the social media site owned by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
“The All-American Halftime Show pulled in OVER 25 MILLION views on just YouTube and Rumble alone, with a lot of large groups watching together, so the number of viewers is likely far higher,” Kolvet posted on X. “And the numbers are still climbing (broadcast partners, fast channel partners, and final counts incoming). Based on tonight’s success, we have committed to running it back again next year. The All-American Halftime Show will be back in 2027. God bless America.”
The TPUSA show featured singers Kid Rock, Brantley Lee, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett. The alternative program opened with a guitar rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner.”
In the weeks prior to the Super Bowl halftime show, Bad Bunny had attacked United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), including saying “ICE out” during the Grammy awards.
“Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE out,” the Puerto Rican musician with a history of cross-dressing said when accepting a Grammy. “We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans.”
