Some Reflection on Another Assassination Attempt

I needed a few days before putting my thoughts to paper about another effort to bring down Donald Trump. The web and news were filled with “experts” giving their analysis of the shooting and the shooter, but the truth is, we may never know the true reason for this lapse in sanity, and this guy is still living. Too often when we have one of these attacks on our way of life, the perpetrator ends up committing suicide by security gunfire and takes the reasons with them to hell. The bottom line is, does it really matter? In this case, there will never be a good reason or explanation as to why an educated person would travel cross-country by train armed with enough weaponry to do serious harm to multiple targets, run into a hotel filled with well-trained government human watchdogs, and think they will get into the room to face their target. By definition and actions, you are insane. Save your meaningless excuses and your effort to gain martyrdom, get a speedy trial, and go somewhere for your small cell and three squares for the rest of your life.

One thing we can be assured of is that the three attempts to kill President Trump that we know of are not the whole story. Just like thwarted attempts at terrorism, we do not need to know, and God knows, the government is not about to tell us. I do believe that President Trump may be the luckiest guy in history. For as transparent and accessible as he is, he is more than fortunate to be still alive. I hope that luck never runs out, but he will be living with a bullseye sandwich board over his shoulders as long as he is breathing in the air. The hatred of this man and the pandemic called TDS will not end when the next President is sworn in in 2029. There are enough insane individuals who feel it is their job, no, their responsibility, to erase Donald Trump from society. The interesting thing is, these same folks cannot cite a substantive reason why.

Immediately after the shooting, while the function room still had a cloud of gunpowder and the liberal media was gathering up bottles of wine from the tables, the mainstream media was floating a theory that this entire evening was planned by Trump. Explain that theory to the agent who was hit by gunfire. He will be fine, but obviously, he was not in on the plan. This feeble effort to minimize the action and pin it on the Right is a clear example of deflection, as it is their rhetoric, misinformation, and choice of which Left wing nit-wit they choose to put in front of the American people that is triggering these insane people into action. Here are some of the numerous comments, just from April, made by Democrats urging action against Donald Trump:

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA): “We need to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump. Threatening war crimes is a blatant violation of our constitution and the Geneva Conventions.”

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT): Agreed with 25th Amendment calls, stating, “No President in control of his senses would publicly promise to eradicate an entire civilization.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI): “It’s time to invoke the 25th Amendment. This maniac should be removed from office.” (Referring to threats of war crimes against Iranian civilization.)

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN): “This is not ok. Invoke the 25th amendment. Impeach. Remove. This unhinged lunatic must be removed from office.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY): “Whether by his Cabinet or Congress, the President must be removed from office. We are playing with the brink.” (Later: Temporary ceasefire or not, Trump already committed an impeachable offense. Congress needs to… remove him from office.)

Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA): “With each passing day, it becomes increasingly apparent that Donald Trump is unstable and a clear and present danger… He must be removed from office before he causes incalculable and unfathomable harm.” He also called for the House to begin impeachment proceedings.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA): “Congress must stop this war and remove Trump from the White House.”

Any comment that the cause of the divide in this country comes from both sides is simply garbage. TDS and veiled calls for harm to our President are solely from the Left, as is any attempt to destroy this country or usher in Socialism or Communism. Whether it is Jessie Smollett, the noose hanging in a NASCAR pit, the SPLC, or Al Sharpton, these entities only exist if the perception of systemic racism does, too. And if they have to create the narrative because it does not exist organically, so be it.

May God continue to protect this President, his family, and his entire administration.
