President Donald Trump and Melania Trump on Wednesday visit the civilian heroes and first responders of the mass shooting in Las Vegas.
The president and first lady will first visit with patients and medical professionals at an undisclosed Las Vegas hospital then go to a separate location to meet and talk with first responders and civilian heroes from the massacre that left 59 dead including the shooter and more than 500 wounded.
Coverage of the first couple’s visit to Las Vegas will begin at 11:50 AM PDT/2:50 PM EDT.
On Sunday night, Stephen Craig Paddock rained a deadly hail of bullets onto a crowd attending a country music concert.
The shooter’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, re-entered the United States Wednesday morning as a “person of interest” in the shooting. Her sister told reporters that Danley had been “sent away” to the Philippines just before the shooting. It is unclear if Marilou knew anything prior to the massacre, but law enforcement officials said that it had to have been planned for months in advance. The killer also wired at least $100,000 to the Philippines just before the attack.
Police are still looking for a motive for the killing.
