The Democrat-News Media’s “Justification” for Cheating

When asked [by Dana Bash] about his [lie that Mitt Romney paid no taxes for 10 years, Nevada Senator Harry] Reid … [replied, smirking] “Well, … Romney didn’t win, did he?”

Time Magazine, March 31, 2015

You could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. Unfortunately, there are people like that. [Trump] has lifted them up.

Republican comes in the dictionary just after reptile and just above repugnant.

Rick Wilson: Donald Trump …  knows that this is an administration defined by ignorance of the world.  So [he plays to] the credulous boomer rube demo that wants to think [Wilson here does Trump impersonation as he says] ‘Donald Trump’s the smart one, and y’all – y’all elitists are dumb!’

Wajahat Ali: [Smirking] You elitists with your geography and your maps and your spelling, …

Rick Wilson: [While laughing] Your math and your readin’, …

The wall [on the southern border] has always been a con for Donald Trump’s credulous rube 10-tooth base.

[M]aybe 80-90 million [Americans] aren’t very bright.  No offense to those who aren’t very bright. You’re watching MSNBC [now], so I’m [assuming] you know what’s going on.

In 2016, I described half of Trump’s supporters as [a] ‘basket of deplorables, the people drawn to his racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, Islamophobia, you name it. The people for whom his bigotry is a feature, not a bug.  It was bad politics, but [expressed] an important truth. Just look at everything that happened since, from Charlottesville to Jan. 6.

Trump Did Not Call Neo-Nazis and White Supremacists ‘Very Fine People’

Snopes, June 21, 2024

The fact that the Democrat “News”-media Colluders (hereafter the DNC) cheat in elections is now transparent.   Most recently, CBS “moderator” Margaret Brennan broke CBS’s own rules against fact-checking during a debate and incorrectly “fact-checked” J.D. Vance and cut his mic when he, being a Yale J.D., and the “moderators” not, made a correct remark about the legal status of Haitians in Springfield Ohio.  In fact, what passes for our “news” media has been incorrectly “fact checking” Republicans and protecting Democrats for decades, but it has become more shameless recently because the DNC now feels it is entitled and proud to cheat.  Whereas the DNC in the past generally liked to promote the impression that it believed in fairness, the current shameless cheating is a new phenomenon.  The question is why they now believe they are justified in cheating.  First, however, let us review a subset of some of the more obvious recent cheating.

In the 2012 debate between Romney and Obama, with an agreement that “moderators” would not fact-check the candidates, Candy Crowly incorrectly fact checked Romney’s remark about the Messiah’s response to the Benghazi attack, over which Obama was very vulnerable, in which several Americans were killed, but after the debate, Crowly acknowledged that “Romney was ‘right in the main’”.  Of course, millions of Americans see the actual debate but only a few thousands see the later correction.  Mission accomplished!

In the 2016 debate between Trump and Hillary, Lester Holt incorrectly fact checked Trump’s statement that stop and frisk policies were ruled constitutional by SCOTUS, stating that “Stop-and-frisk was ruled unconstitutional in New York.”  One must go slow here because one is dealing with the “news” media, not rocket scientists, but what SCOTUS ruled is that “stop and frisk” laws “remains lawful and [still] widely used throughout the United States” but cannot be “applied” unconstitutionally.  The police cannot stop and frisk a group of black guys on a street corner but then drive by a group of white guys on the next street corner and not stop and frisk them.  “Stop and frisk” is obviously constitutional because it is still going on under the name of “Terry stops” but must be “applied” constitutionally.  Comprehendé Lester?

In 2015 Donna Brazile gave Hillary Clinton the debate questions before the CNN debate with Trump and, given her DNC greatness, is “totally not sorry.” Naturally, given Brazile’s level of “integrity”, Foxnews, demonstrating its own unseriousness, later hired her.

Recently, ABC “News”’ Rachel Scott assaulted Trump with a set of false and/or misleading attacks, including, for example, the false claim that Trump told 4 “women of colour” to “go back where they came from.  Assuming that one can read and reason at the high school level, Scott’s misrepresentations are easily verified

In the recent VP debate between a “deer-in-the-headlights” Tim Walz and J.D. Vance (Yale J.D), the CBS “moderators” broke their own rules by “fact checking” (incorrectly) Vance’s informed attempt to clarify the legal status of the Haitian migrants in Springfield and then cut off his microphone when he tried to do so.  They don’t follow their own rules anymore.

I have not even gone into all the corrupt and shameless unconstitutional Stalinist lawfare election interference against Donald Trump and his supporters.  To mention just one current example, CNN’s liberal Eli Honig (Harvard J.D.), calls Jack Smith’s latest court filing an election-year “cheap shot”.  What else is new?

The DNC feels entitled to cheat because they feel vastly superior, both intellectually and morally, to all Hillary’s MAGA “deplorables”.  One would think Biden’s 2022 record numbers of dead people, (853), at the southern border, the 320,000 Biden-Harris’ missing children the DNC pretends to care about so much, all the wars exploding under the Biden-Harris genius, the inflation that crushes poor families and so much more would make them reconsider.  Unfortunately, the DNC is blinded by what philosopher of science Thomas Kuhn called a “paradigm,” roughly, a set of basic ways of thinking that even structures the ways one sees the world.  For example, Ptolemic “scientists” thought they could literally “see” that the earth stands still at the cosmic centre while the sun moves around it. They were wrong.

As a consequence of attending massively left-biased universities that indoctrinate rather than teach how to reason properly, the DNC thinks it can “see” that conservatives are moral/intellectual 10-toothed “rubes” [“an insulting word for people considered uneducated uncultured country bumpkins”].  Not blessed by the capacity for self-reflection, they are no longer ashamed of cheating but believe they are heroes, saving the country, by doing so.

It’s just too bad that, hypnotized by their own reflections on the insides of their lucrative bubbles, they constantly get things wrong, resulting in lots of poverty, wars and dead people (but not of course in their own decidedly Venezuelan-free neighborhoods).  In fact, the DNC are bigots who must resort to ad hominem fallacies rather than facing their opponents in rational argument. Hillary (and Kamala) still repeat the debunked Charlottesville lie Biden used, dishonestly, to justify his run for the presidency.  The fact that they have to lie constantly (about the open southern border, Biden’s mental acuity, the causes of Biden’s inflation, etc.,) and, like tyrants, have to censor their political opponents, shows that they know they cannot win a fair debate.  They’re afraid to face the voters honestly.
