Attorney General Pam Bondi, like her boss, President Trump, believes if you make a promise, you keep a promise. When sworn in as AG, she promised she would treat everyone equally and that you would be held accountable if you broke the law. This week, two judges, one in Wisconsin and the other in New Mexico, discovered that Pam Bondi is a woman of her word. These arrests have shocked the country and driven the Democrats to take sides. Once again, the Left has chosen the wrong side of the argument, and true to form, is making them the defenders of the lawless once again.
A Milwaukee Circuit judge, Hannah Dugan, was arrested on Friday for allegedly obstructing an immigration arrest by helping an illegal migrant evade arrest. In a bizarre set of events, Judge Dugan facilitated the escape of Eduardo Flores-Ruiz by directing the arrest team into her chambers and then ushering Flores-Ruiz out of the jury entrance to exit the courthouse. Flores-Ruiz was in court for a hearing after being charged with three counts of misdemeanor domestic battery. Flores-Ruiz was in America illegally since reentering after being deported in 2013. Flores-Ruiz was apprehended bi ICE officers after a foot pursuit.
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson claims that the arrest of Judge Duggan makes Milwaukee a less safe place for its citizens. When asked about the victims of the assaults by Flores-Ruiz, the mayor said he had no communication with the victims. Still, his sole concern was for the judge and the behavior of the Trump administration to have her arrested. He contends that the judge did nothing wrong in this case.
In New Mexico, this week, former Dona A Magistratena County Joel Cano, was arrested for allegedly harboring an alleged Tren de Aragua gang member and others in his guest house on his property. ICE officials executed two search warrants at the judge’s property, arrested three individuals, and seized four guns. As in the earlier situation, Democrats who spoke of the arrests in New Mexico were concerned solely with the former judge and not about the arrests of the gang members.
This pattern is becoming all too familiar with Democrats taking the position in favor of the illegal aliens over their victims or the judges who are in obvious violation of the law and public trust over their constituents or victims.
These responses by the Democrats to ignore the rule of law, public safety, or common sense are becoming a consistent trend. Constituent safety is never mentioned, nor are the victims of these crimes recognized or contacted. These people are merely collateral damage, and the need to oppose Donald Trump, even when the side they are taking is an unpopular stand with the majority of Americans, is the key. This should be hurting Democrats, which it may be by the precipitous drop in overall approval, but the slanted media attention that is painting the Trump administration as the villain in these matters is starting to chip away at Trump’s approval, also. We are seeing this impact on both the immigration/deportation and the economic issues. The negativity is so great with the media, that they have the American people believing their agendas and not seeking out the truth. Trump and his team have been very active with their message but need some wins and a push to force a change by the msm.
