The “Democrat” Party Still a Tad Confused about Democracy
Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to … If you see anybody from [Trump’s] Cabinet in a restaurant, a department store, a gasoline station, you get out, create a crowd [and] push back on them. You tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.
California Democrat Rep. Maxine Watters, 6/25/2019
Never before in my life have I called for mass protests, for mobilization, for disruption [emphasis added], but I am now.

[Alexandria] Ocasio-Cortez, [after] declaring that she doesn’t support “rapists” to explain her absence [from Trump’s inauguration] and [after] attacking Elon Musk for what many Democrats perceived to be a NAZI salute … embraces role as attack dog against Trump

On March 16 2023, [Pitt] Provost Ann Cudd referred to a recent speech by [Trump-supporter Michael] Knowles as “repugnant hate-filled rhetoric” … [A] professor advised her students that “[t]he Theatre department, along with many other departments, students, faculty, and staff … has called on the University to cancel Knowles’ appearance due to his history of spreading hate speech and inciting violence against trans people.” … Signs were posted throughout campus [urging] students to “Shut Down Michael Knowles” … [leading to] an angry mob of hundreds assembled to shut down the event with unlawful, violent behaviour. … Pitt police … allowed rioters to … throw smoke bombs and incendiary devices into the crowd of attendees [and] use a road flare to burn an effigy of Knowles. Pitt police urged ISI to end the event … because the situation was “deteriorating.” The Q&A period was cut short, and the 40-minute “meet and greet” with Knowles—a contractually required part of the event performance—did not occur at all.

Resistance: “The Final Check Is the People”. … I attended Tim Walz’s town hall, Bernie Sanders’s anti-oligarchy tour, and a protest against Elon Musk. An insurgency is building—but it feels a lot different this time. The Resistance of 2016 was buoyed by a sense of hope—that Democrats, “reasonable” Republicans or maybe Robert Mueller would come to the rescue. “This DOGE business will get out of control,” as one sign put it at a Tesla Takedown protest I recently attended in Chicago.

[A] Tesla charging station was targeted in South Carolina, where [someone] spray-painted an expletive [against] President Trump along with “LONG LIVE UKRAINE” on the ground in red paint and threw homemade Molotov cocktails at the station … [In Las Vegas,] along with the burning vehicles, … the word “RESIST” was spray-painted across the doors of the facility and three rounds of shots were fired at [other] Teslas. The suspect … is believed to have used Molotov cocktails and a firearm to conduct his attack, police said.

[Judge Hannah] Dugan was showered with accolades from the left, with such postings as “The FBI has arrested a judge who helped migrants avoid ICE. This judge is a hero.” … [However,] Judges [are required] to maintain respect [for the law] by honouring their role as adjudicators rather than accomplices in criminal matters [emphasis added]. … Dugan has shown precisely how “contagious” such law-breaking can become when judges become “teachers” of a “contempt for law.” She [has] yielded to the temptation to “become a law unto herself.”
Liberal GWU Law Professor and Constitutional Scholar Jonathan Turley, 4/29/25
[The Democrat’s] goal is to reopen the border and get the massive flow of humanity into the United States going again. … They’re not just arguing for [Garcia] to be returned to the US. They’re arguing for benefits, for in-state tuition and all these things American citizens get. The goal is … to convince you that illegal aliens are just the same as American citizens. They want them to vote.

Michigan Democrat Shri Thanedar Introduces 7 Impeachment Articles Against Trump … [saying] the most important of the 7 was for “tyrannical overreach,” also noting the Trump administration’s refusal to return Kilmar Abrego Garcia … and give him due process “has to be the final straw.”

Our [US] Constitution continues to be a piece of crap [and should be replaced].

In the past 2 weeks, in town halls across the country, crowds have booed Republican lawmakers for Trump and Musk’s budget cuts. … NBC reported that Republican lawmakers were urging their colleagues to stop holding town halls altogether.
The New Yorker, 2/28/25
Trump [is] trusted more than Biden on democracy among key swing-state voters … A poll shows that Americans rate threats to democracy as an important issue, but that the president [Biden] has yet to convince them he is the one to defend it.
Washington Post, 6/26/24
One of the storylines the Democrat Party, supported by the Democrat Party Propaganda Collective or DPPC (aka the “mainstream” or “legacy” media), have cooked up to keep themselves in the money and retain the power to push people around is that the legally elected Trump administrations in 2016 and 2024 must be “resisted” in order to “save our democracy”.
Their “resistance” has taken many forms, from urging mobs to “get in people’s faces” and drive them from the public sphere. Or “mobilized” mass protests to “disrupt” people’s lives. Or intimidating Trump supporters, censoring them, throwing smoke bombs at them or burning them in effigy in what’s left of our former “universities”. Or the Democrat’s constant absurd hoaxes and rigged debates. Or flooding of the country with new potential voters from south of the border to turn the US into a one-party nation. Or spreading demonstrably false claims about Trump’s alleged rapes or silly charges about Musk’s alleged NAZI salutes. Or actual violence, firebombing Teslas and firing bullets at Tesla dealerships, to force Elon Musk to back out of this support for Trump. Or the Democrat’s constant absurd Stalinist “lawfare” or exceptionally weak cases (using the law to destroy or bankrupt Trump). Or, in another specifically Democrat Party form of “election denial,” filing spurious articles of impeachment, as the Democrats did twice in Trump’s first term, because they cannot beat him, fair and square, at the ballot box. What is for certain is that all of this sorry thuggish and infantile behaviour, and much more like it, is not meant to support our democracy but, precisely, to destroy it.
In an actual democracy, one holds one of these things called an “election,” as we did in 2024, and if in that election, one’s side loses the presidency, obtains only 47 senators and a minority of House members, then one employs the hand that has been granted one by the voters to secure the best deal one can for one’s side … until, in 2 years, and again in 4, one has additional elections to determine if the voters will grant one a better hand in the negotiations. Anything else, the Democrat’s childish “resistance,” that childish little “insurgency”, is precisely resistance against the democratic process. And that is why the voters trust Trump for democracy more than they trust Democrats and why their popularity has hit a record low.
There is nothing the Democrat Party and their DPPC propagandists hate, and fear, more than a genuine free and fair democracy.
