Tell This Twenty-Something Fireball That Trump Doesn’t Like Strong Women

We were lulled into a sense of mediocrity and incompetence during the Obama and Biden years with Press Secretaries who never had enough presence to be behind the podium of the Brady Briefing Room. Jen Psaki and Karine Jean Pierre mastered the line, “We’ll have to circle back on that,” and enough lies to fill a Saturday afternoon confessional at St. Patrick’s. The feckless press corps accepted what they were spoon-fed, and the American people were left longing for the truth.

Psaki found a spot on MSNBC where she could continue talking out of both sides of her mouth, and KJP found herself with plenty of time to write a tell-all book about the Biden White House while collecting unemployment checks. She was unhireable and practically untouchable. Her dreams of a spot on The View remained in the clouds. She was only a legend in her mind.

Then came January 20. Trump had not sat idle for four years waiting for a second bite at the apple. He refined his approach to the presidency and rode into town with the best team since Bird and Jordan wore the red, white, and blue. Trump took a big chance by handing over the podium and microphone to a 27-year-old, untested female, but it may turn out to be one of his best moves in a year of monumental moves. Karoline Leavitt is not only ready for primetime, but she is even drawing praise from Dana Perino and Kayleigh McEnany, two of the best since Tony Snow. She is so much more than the “blonde 10” coined by Joy Behar, a quip she may soon live to regret. My district in New Hampshire missed an opportunity when Leavitt was not elected to Congress; however, she is now in a more powerful and influential position in the West Wing.

Trump and Leavitt have redefined transparency. Biden and Obama talked about it, but only as a distraction from the truth. They were among the least transparent and most corrupt presidencies in recent history. Trump knows he will never get a break or honest reporting from the mainstream media, so he has created his own communications path to the people. With his daily impromptu sessions with the press and Karoline in complete control of the daily briefings, they are forcing the media to cover his administration.

Karoline Leavitt does not need a KJP binder with answers; she knows the answers because they are not some conjured version of the truth; they are the facts. She is prepared, articulate, confident, and ready to call out any reporter who dares to challenge Donald Trump falsely. She is the first line of defense against a hostile press and has demonstrated her readiness to take on all comers. Forget the age and put aside gender. Karoline Leavitt was made for this job and credit Donald Trump for seeing her potential and unleashing it.

Leavitt may be the person who finally takes on the fake media and makes them pay with their wallets and careers. She has gone on shows like Jimmy Kimmel and changed the narrative from a comedic session against our President to a civics lesson. She converted audience hoots and boos to applause with her relenting defense that left Kimmel and other late-night hosts walking circles in the dark. Reports are she is taking on the “ladies” of The View with what might be the largest monetary suit ever filed for defamation. If accurate, her $800 million action could finally put this cesspool of anti-American rhetoric into the annals of forgotten talk shows. Even Barbara Walters would be proud of the courage of this young woman from New Hampshire who is writing her own chapter in Washington, D.C. lore. Karoline Leavitt has an incredible future ahead, and we will be blessed with her talents on our Conservative side for years to come. This story has just begun.
