Is This Finally The End Of Adam Schiff?

Oh, we can only hope so. Adam Schiff has been the epitome of all that is wrong with government. He was an ineffective Congressman but opportunistic enough to graduate to the Senate, where he still resides in his own version of facts, truth, and democracy. Since 2016, Adam Schiff has been a prominent figure in the Democratic Party, with a permanent spot on the Sunday morning shows on every major channel, except FOX News. Schiff has no interest in matching wits with any FOX News or opinion host, spreading his lies and rhetoric, and displaying his terminal case of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). There are very few choices in the Adam Schiff jukebox. There is the complete fixation and hatred of Donald Trump, his belief that the Hunter Biden laptop did not exist, and that the Russian Hoax was real.

This week, the Republicans may finally see the end of the Adam Schiff era in Washington, D.C.. The director of the U.S. Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi in May, citing alleged misconduct by Schiff, who owns homes in California and Maryland. The allegations claim that Schiff misrepresented his permanent address on loan applications to secure lower interest rates on property he was purchasing in Maryland. At the time of the loans, Schiff was a Congressman from California, which would have required him to live in the district he represented. At the same time, he used a Maryland address on loan applications to secure a lower interest rate on the notes for purchasing a second home in Maryland. The claims indicate multiple offenses from 2003 to 2019.

Schiff and his wife purchased a home in Potomac, Maryland, in 2003 for $870,000, according to the letter. They entered into a Fannie Mae-backed mortgage agreement for $610,000 at a rate of 5.625% over a term of 30 years, asserting the property would be their primary and principal residence. They also received a property tax credit of $7,000 per year for claiming this property as their permanent legal address. The claim also stated that they reaffirmed the Maryland home was their primary residence in mortgage refinancing filings from 2009 to 2013, despite Schiff being an elected official representing the state of California during the same period.

This legal snafu poses two problems for the junior Senator from California. One is the criminal charges for committing at least five counts of real estate fraud, but also, the Republicans are calling for his immediate removal from the Senate. Of course, the ever-hypocritical Schiff is calling the claims baseless and doing what he has done for nearly ten years, calling for the removal from office of President Donald Trump.

The facts presented appear to make this case cut and dry for Schiff, and whether a fine or jail time is called for by the court, his days in the Senate appear numbered. This is poetic justice for Trump and all Republicans, that the man who led the legal assault on Trump and launched two successful impeachment proceedings against the 45th President, may fall on his sword for some of the exact charges Trump was accused of.
