How Much Crime Is Too Much

The courts were busy over the long weekend; at least the Liberal judges who hate this country were busy. We had judges stopping planes on the runway to prevent ICE and Border Patrol from deporting illegal immigrants, some who are also criminals, without a hearing, preferably in front of a similarly WOKE judge. We had judges stopping planes filled with illegal minor children until they could prove they would be returned to their parents. This scenario begs the question, where was this judge and concern for these kids when the Biden administration misplaced nearly 300,000 minors who probably found themselves in the sex trade or working in the agricultural industry? So much for the Executive Branch when a district court judge with a first name Sparkle (I did not make this up) can stymie presidential action?

Chicago celebrated the Labor Day holiday weekend in typical Windy City fashion. There were nearly 60 shootings, and seven people were killed by gunshot. However, this weekend’s scores did not get Mayor Brandon Johnson’s attention. Brandon has a strange take on politics. With a 7% approval rating, you would think he would be holed up somewhere trying to rethink or reinvent himself. Instead, Johnson is going on a 24/7 attack against Trump and any thought of allowing the National Guard to interfere with his city’s weekly carnage. The mayor is intent on protecting the illegals, including the criminals, at the expense of the safety of all Chicagoians.

Governor Pritzker echoes Johnson’s sentiments, making these two politicians the most high-profile anti-Trump individuals in the country. It is ludicrous to say that Chicago does not have a serious crime issue, and this pair destroys their credibility every time they address a crowd to say otherwise. What they are doing to address crime, if anything, is not working. Why is there no citizen revolt insisting they allow federal assistance, ala Washington, D.C.? These residents put these politicians in office, knowing they were worse performers than their predecessors. They are getting what they deserve.

The bottom line is that this is not about crime but about Donald Trump. As Senator Kennedy said of Pritzker, if Trump signed an executive order mandating breathing, Pritzker would hold his breath. The politicians of Illinois, like their counterparts in California, Minnesota, New York, and Delaware, are all suffering from a massive, terminal case of TDS. Rather than share in the successes of the Trump administration and bring some of that positive energy home, they would rather let their constituents wallow in the malaise of the Biden and Obama years.

We know these politicians hate America by their actions and how quickly they are jumping on the bandwagon of Socialist Mamdani, the mayoral candidate in New York. Hating their constituents is unconscionable, yet, regardless of their actions or approval ratings, chances are better than good that they will serve multiple terms. America gave Trump a mandate in 2024, and the Democrats are yet to accept that reality. Instead of moderating toward the middle, they are drifting even further left. With any luck, the Dems will not catch their fall before the midterms.
