Maine Needs to be Aware of the Trojan Horse

We have seen enough examples of Democrats misrepresenting themselves to fool the naive voters. Abigail Spanberger is the poster child for candidates who run as a moderate and miraculously become a radical progressive when their hand touches the bible as they are sworn in. Some tell you exactly what they will be and get elected anyway. The Communist mayor of New York City was very clear on his intentions, and the voters still elected him. He is quickly destroying the greatest city on Earth in record time. How many such examples do we need before we change our actions? Apparently, the American voters are slow learners, and they may be repeating the process in Maine.

The Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, Graham Platner, is making it very difficult to ascertain who he is and what voters will be getting should they send him to Washington. He has flip-flopped on his political philosophy since leaving the military and will not provide proof on many of his life stages. With Governor Janet Mills withdrawing from the race, Platner is assured of victory in the Democratic primary. Polls show him gaining or ahead of incumbent Susan Collins, the only Republican representative from Maine in D.C. Chances are very good that Maine voters will elect a conservative turned progressive turned socialist/communist.

Platner is, at best, a conundrum. At the least, he is an outright fraud trying to get elected on totally false pretenses. His explanation for his philosophical change is that when in the military, he was immersed in a high-charged, macho environment and was indoctrinated into conservative thinking. When he returned to the private sector and was surrounded by freer-thinking civilians, he saw the error of his ways and became a liberal. He might be the most maleable adult on record. He claims to suffer from PTSD, yet he will not release records to show if he left the military voluntarily or was medically discharged. There are conflicting accounts of his oyster-farming career and of whether there is a family business. And the stories about his NAZI tattoo change like the wind. He has claimed it was a whim to he was unaware of the significance of the design, all of which shows poor judgment, as the tattoo takes up a significant part of his anatomy.

We do know that we will get a Bernie Sanders clone who has never met a tax he did not like and will target the rich with fervor. His FEC filings do not indicate any large individual or PAC contributions to his campaign, but he has received over $3 million from California, New York, and Massachusetts, which is consistent with all radical, progressive candidates. He also will take a high degree of anger towards Donald Trump with him to Washington. Though he has announced little about how he will work to improve Mainers’ lives, he has emphasized that he will fight to remove Trump from the White House and bring down our Democratic Republic. This attitude or mission statement does show an ignorance or denial of the democratic process, and the more than 70 million people who voted to elect Donald Trump to be our President. This plan clearly shows that Platner would not represent all of Maine, but only those residents who share his vision of a new Socialist America. Platner is a dangerous politician, and anyone who is supporting him must do their homework and find out who he is. In today’s America, I do not see this happening, and
