End of an Era

When I was a kid, you could actually get a piece of gum for a penny from the bottom shelf of a convenience store candy aisle. It was individually wrapped pink bubble gum with not-so-great flavor, but it cost a penny. Nothing costs a penny anymore. Not even sure if there’s anything that costs a nickel.
