Al Green’s Obsession Has Cost Him Dearly
There are no redeeming qualities to Representative Al Green (D-TX). He is a disrespectful and rude individual who suffers from Trump Derangement Syndrome and whose sole purpose in Congress is to file impeachment papers on Donald Trump. Green just filed his seventh attempt at removing Trump from the White House. Like the previous six, he was unsuccessful.
To add insult to injury, Al Green’s seat has been eliminated by redistricting, and come the midterms next year, Al and his cane are out of a job. Unlike his Texas sister, who is also a victim of redistricting, Big Al will not be able to launch a Senate bid ala Jasmine Crockett. Neither has the credentials to be in the Senate. Still, Crockett has an established presence on social platforms, and her popularity on X and TicTok will generate the $100 million plus she estimates her candidacy will require. Crockett does not stand a snowball’s chance in Texas of winning, but imagine how much she can syphon off a $100 million pile of cash. Politics is a game of money to many, ask Sandy Cortez or Ilhan Omar, who have parlayed a few years in Washington into multi-million-dollar net worths.
Green, Crockett, Cortez, and Omar represent all that is wrong with today’s political game. We may have an occasional John Fedderman who wants to go to Washington to help his constituents. Still, most of this young generation of charlatan public servants are only going to D.C. to help themselves to easy money. It is a shame, but it is also wrong. We expect the 535 people on Capitol Hill to represent us, but they are only there to enhance their wallets and those of their friends and relatives they bring along.
These people are guilty of their motives and deception, but the voters who put them there are just as culpable. Anyone with half a brain can see through these fraudsters, yet they get the votes to fulfill their plans. This is a good example of why we need term limits and campaign reform. Once these folks get elected once, they are almost assured of reelection for as many terms as they deem enough, and they are taking the spot of a genuine representative of the people.
Trump only has three more years in D.C. He has changed the playing field forever, but many of the people who are in Washington for the sole purpose of getting him out or keeping him in check are going to have to come up with a new purpose to disguise their true intentions of making lots of money, thanks to a generous and blind electorate. Trump has shown that a non-political individual can play the game in Washington, but they have to have F-you money to support and defend themselves against everything the establishment and the Al Greens of the world will throw at them.
Eric Trump makes a good case in his new best-selling book, “Under Seige,” for what Trump’s time in politics has cost not just him, but the entire family and business empire. Not many families would have the strength or perseverance to endure what the Trumps have experienced, but when history is written, we will owe Donald Trump a debt of gratitude for his efforts to save this nation from itself.
