The Democrat “News”-Media Colluders Stand Up for Waste, Fraud and Abuse
Monday’s tragic deaths of two migrant children again expose the danger and callousness of President Joe Biden’s open-border policy. … The kids drowned in the Rio Grande, trying to cross the river with groups of illegal migrants enticed here by Biden’s implicit promise of permanent US residence once over the border. That promise … [has] now engendered a full-blown humanitarian crisis. The steadily climbing number of migrant deaths at the southern border proves that starkly: 300 in 2019; 247 in 2020 [and] a record 566 in 2021, followed by 609 this year just through July. … Those numbers include only the dead authorities [manage to] find [and] excludes fatalities along what’s typically a thousand-plus-mile journey [across central America]. The hideous deaths of these two innocents show that [Biden’s border policy is] just … cynical posturing at the deadly expense of the truly vulnerable.

Here are just some of the most egregious examples of baffling projects funded by USAID, $47,000 for a transgender opera in Colombia [or] a transgender comic book in Peru? Price tag, $32,000. (Como se dice [How do you say?]”, The Continuing Adventures of They, Fighting Crime in Gender-Affirming Underwear?) Or $1.5 million for an LGBTQ jobs program in Serbia? … [Parker] Thayer [investigative researcher at Capital Research Center] said the DOGE team found $4 billion that the Biden administration pushed out in foreign grants listed as “miscellaneous [meaning that] “the names were redacted. They don’t want to tell us where the money went.”

DOGE “discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants”. Rep. Mark Harris, R-N.C., called FEMA’s action a “betrayal” as residents of his state continue to recover from the devastation of last fall’s Hurricane Helene. While North Carolinians are still struggling to rebuild their communities in the wake of Hurricane Helene, FEMA sent $59 million to New York for illegal aliens to be housed in luxury hotels … a betrayal of the highest order.

[Several] Democratic strategists warned pushing back on President Trump’s anti-bureaucracy efforts could be a “monster miscalculation” … [S]ome Democrats told Politico on Tuesday they had “strategic reservations” about attacking spending cuts [because] they could be “walking into a trap.” … [M]y head tells me [that] Trump will be well satisfied to have this fight,’” said veteran strategist David Axelrod.

One of the main storylines the Democrat Party Propaganda Collective or DPPC (aka the Democrat Party combined with their dependable “Mainstream” or “Legacy” “news” media shills) have concocted in order to evade accountability is that Trump’s and Musk’s DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) will kill people, including children, around the world. For example, CNN features a story titled “No doctors for sick children. This is the reality of Trump’s aid freeze in remote northern Thailand”, the story of a little Thai girl named “Rosella” who cannot breathe properly due to a congenital condition. There is, of course, no objection to attempting to ensure that little angels like Rosella can receive the treatment she needs. Unfortunately, the DPPC have not thought through their latest Appeal to Emotion Fallacy properly. The Left always wheels out “the children” when they want to “justify” their profligate self-serving spending. They never seem to worry much about the dead childen at Biden’s southern border or 12 year old Jocelyn Nungaray (murdered by two of Biden’s illegal aliens) when they are pushing their selfish cruel and deadly political schemes.
Chuck Schumer has suddenly (2/11/25), in response to DOGE’s revelations of massive government waste, fraud and abuse had an epiphenous revelation, saying that
Everyone knows there’s waste in government that should be cut, but DOGE is using a meat axe. … Take [US]AID, maybe there are some programs they don’t like. But … most people would want to see us continue our fight in Central Africa against Ebola so it doesn’t come here.
Well, that is touching Chuck, but if you knew there was serious government waste that should be cut in order to save genuinely compassionate programs like that one, why did you not call to cut USAID waste over the past 4 years before the election?
Musk’s point is that the US government is wasting enormous amounts of money on fruitless or silly self-serving DPPC schemes that has been concealed from the public in unaccountable darkness. First, there is a genuine argument whether the USA should be funding medical care in other countries when there are so many Americans, for example in Democrat controlled inner cities like Baltimore, that need considerable help. However, if the the DPPC does want to fund certain USAID programs around the world, one must, first, make sure that the taxpayers know what they are funding (its called “transparency”), and, second, ensure that one is not wasting massive amounts of money on, for example, transgender operas in Colombia, transgender comic books in Peru, an LGBTQ jobs program in Serbia, $59 million to New York for illegal aliens to be housed in luxury hotels or $4 billion the Biden administration pushed out in “miscellaneous” foreign grants where “they don’t want to tell us where the money went.”
It is just common sense that if one keeps abusing the taxpayer by wasting money in these ways, the day is going to come when there is no money left for little Rosella, for our own American children, for our schools or even to fix our roads and bridges. And that raises the obvious question. If the DPPC really cares so much about the little children, why didn’t they insist that the taxpayer’s money did not go to their silly leftist schemes, transgender operas, comic books about gender-affirming underwear or luxury hotels for illegals while 76,000 homeless American veterans are sleeping on snowy streets, but only to rationally defensible programs? Why did they care so little for “the children” that they did not insulate these programs from the kind of abuses that render them vulnerable to Musk’s criticisms.
Instead of facing reality (because that is too difficult), however, and feeling all virtuous as they drove home to their mansions at night after throwing money around all day like it was water for their self-serving political schemes, the DPPC forgot that it was the taxpayers money until they got their greedy incompetent hands on it.
One cannot take care of anyone, either Americans or children like Rosella unless one has one’s own economic house in order. There really is no rational or moral alternative to doing so. Keeping one’s own economic house in order is not mean or stingy. It is a necessary condition of being able to do good for one’s own people or for others. It is reality. For, if the US keeps going on the way it has been going, the day is going to arrive when there is no money left for little Rosella or anybody else. If one wants to take care of little Rosella, then take care of her, but don’t waste money on transgender comic books for Peru. Hopefully that is not too much for the DPPC to understand, but if it is then it’s going to be necessary to keep forcefully and publicly giving them this “reality” lesson every day until they do.
