The Democrat “News”-media Storyline that Trump is a Liar
Multiple readers asked us to VERIFY President Biden’s comments implying his uncle was eaten by cannibals in New Guinea after a plane crash.
THE ANSWER: There is no evidence that Biden’s uncle was eaten by cannibals.

One of the storylines recently promoted by the Democrat “News”-media Collusion-team (hereafter the DNC) to protect their beloved Joe Biden, the same DNC that “gaslit” us for 4 years that Biden was “sharp as a tack,” is that though Joe was not very good in the June presidential debate, Trump lied throughout the debate. This is a specific application of the standard DNC strategy that though Joe may “exaggerate” and “embellish” sometimes, Trump is a pathological liar. The Washington Post, which used to be a “newspaper,” stated in 2021 that Trump had told 30,573 “false or misleading statements” over 4 years. Since a lie, normally understood, is understood as intentionally telling an untruth, not merely telling an untruth, uttering a false or misleading statement is not necessarily a lie. Despite this, Trump’s various controversial statements are often referred to by the sloppy Left (that is, the Left) as lies. Since it would be virtually impossible to tell 30,000 lies in 4 years even if one wanted to, one suspects this enormous number was fabricated by changing the definition of “lie”, and that is the case. This can involve rebranding a false or misleading statement as a lie or rebranding an opinion that the Left, in their uniform little bubble, dislikes, as a lie.
Before one considers accusations about Trump alleged lies, it is, however, worth pointing out that contrasting Trump with Biden on this axis is not the wisest strategy. For, Biden has been lying all his life: Biden told an audience in 1987, when running for the Democrat presidential nomination, that he was “the only one in his law school class on a full academic scholarship”. He also claimed he finished in the top half of his law school class and that he “graduated with three degrees from undergraduate school.” Unfortunately, as Politico reports, none of those statements are true. Biden’s law school scholarship was based on financial need, not brilliance. He did not graduate with three degrees. He had two majors, not three, but that is still only one degree. Biden graduated 76th out of 85 students in law school, in the not very impressive bottom 11%. Confronted with the facts Biden said that his recollection was faulty and that he was sick with the flu (he also blamed a cold at his recent disastrous debate). He admitted he “exaggerates when he is angry” (which is pretty often). Well, that explains it all then! All is forgiven for the DNC’s beloved Biden!
More recently, Biden lied about his family’s business dealings. He also told numerous lies, about rising prices, about Hamas’ popularity on the West Bank, about being endorsed by United Auto Workers Union, about his bad poll numbers, about illegal crossings at the southern border, about turning over “all” his notes and classified documents to Federal officials upon leaving office, about child gun deaths, about Trump’s comments about NATO, etc. One could go on indefinitely but that should be sufficient.
The media have the chutzpa to contrast Trump’s lies during the June 2024 presidential debate with beloved Biden’s “bad night.” In fact, Biden lied repeatedly during that debate. Astonishingly, he claimed no troops died during his administration when at least 16 military died under his term, including the 13 military troops who were blown to bits during his “disastrous” withdrawal from Afghanistan. He lied again when he later called it a “great success”. Biden lied when he said black unemployment “is” the lowest in a long time when black unemployment was 6.1% last month, greater than the 5.4% under Trump. He lied when he said Trump wants to get rid of Social Security and Medicare though Trump repeatedly said he wants to save them from profligate spending. Comically, Biden lied when he said the number of border crossings under him is far lower than it was under Trump. In Biden’s first year in office over a million more entered the US illegally than entered under all 4 years of the Trump administration and so on.
Consider now some of Trump’s alleged “lies” over the years. Wikipedia, which poses as an encyclopedia, even has a full article on Trump’s alleged lies but no article on beloved Biden’s lies. Since we don’t have 10 years to dissect the Wikipedia article, we only scratch the surface here and consider a few of Wikipedia’s sophistries. Trump, they claimed, lied that it was Hillary, not himself, that started the Obama “birther” movement. However, Politico reports that “It’s an interesting bit of history that the birther movement appears to have begun with Democrats supporting Clinton and opposing Obama” but there is no proof Hillary herself did this. In another article, Politico states it began “in Democratic, not Republican politics [when] some of [Hillary’s] most passionate supporters grasped for something [to damage] Obama.” That is, this could easily be a misunderstanding, not a lie, on Trump’s part because there is substantial connection to Hillary’s campaign.
There is a truly comical Wikipedia section on the Trump-Russia collusion hoax that could be an assignment for a first-year community college critical reasoning course. The whole section on Trump’s alleged lies actually talks mostly about Rudy Giuliani who, it claims, “undermines” Trump’s claim of no collusion (which doesn’t prove Trump lied). The entire section is destroyed by its admission that “Mueller explained that he did not investigate “collusion”, only “conspiracy” and “coordination”. Wait, Mueller did even not investigate “collusion” but the Wikipedia section is fact checking Trump’s statements about collusion? How does that work? So, what is Wikipedia’s evidence for “collusion” between the Trump campaign and Russia? This is Wikipedia’s last word: “The investigation found there were at least 140 contacts between Trump or 18 of his associates with Russian nationals … though the contacts were insufficient to show an illegal ‘conspiracy’”. Wikipedia found “contacts,” when having coffee at Starbucks is a “contact,” not an illegal activity, between Trump associates and Russians, and that is supposed to show Trump lied about “collusion” with Russia? Is this Wikipedia section a joke?
In fact, the Mueller investigation was generated by a fake Russian dossier Saint Hillary paid for from Trump-hating British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who got it from Russian Igor Danchenko. Who really colluded with Russia to fix the 2016 election? Was she punished? No need to ask.
One finds the same repeated pattern by the DNC in discussing Trump’s and Biden’s alleged lies. Biden’s misstatements are charitably viewed as “exaggerations and embellishments” while Trump’s are interpreted in the worst possible way as lies. The silly accusations of thousands of Trump lies are nothing more than political smears presupposing sloppy sophomoric reasoning by mean-spirited partisan actors. If the DNC want to find some real lies they might start by looking at their own years of absurd reporting, like, for example, the false claim, gleefully reported by many “news” and other media organizations for 7 years, that Trump praised Nazis and White Supremacists at the Charlottesville protest against tearing down Confederate statues, finally exposed as false when Snopes finally found someone that could read at the 9th grade level.

Joe Biden has an automatic lying program. I recognized it because when I was teaching in a high school many years ago, I had a principal who lied about EVERYTHING. I even asked him where the men teachers’ bathroom was and he gave me a false answer. He told the teachers that OSHA. had examined the school for asbestos but they had found none. But the same day he said that a teacher found a copy of the OSHA report in a conference room. It said that considerable amount of asbestos was found and that the high school would be closed for two weeks while the dangerous material was removed. Day after day in all matters large and small, the principal lied. Once I recognized the pattern I became aware of certain patterns of mind/communication of an habitual liar. I see the exact same pattern in Biden. Trump can be guilty of hyperbole or exaggeration for dramatic effect, but rattling off falsehood after falsehood is clearly Bidenesque. He simply cannot tell the truth. He is an habitual, automatic liar whom, I believe, no longer even knows (if he ever did) that he is lying. He is a man who thinks his lies are true even if he contradicts himself with another lie fifteen minutes later. Great article!!
