Did Mamdani Really Say He Was Going To Tax White People?
He certainly did.
Apparently, being a Muslim Democrat Socialist allows you to be an overt racist, yet the Muslim community is claiming that any criticism of Mamdani is racist. If that is not the height of hypocrisy, then I need to see a more blatant example. Mamdani is the Democrat candidate for mayor of New York City, and by the absurdity of his platform, he will undoubtedly make mistakes during his campaign. Still, the Muslim community believes that by setting the racism bar very low for anyone criticizing their man, he will avoid scrutiny of his ridiculous socialist policies and skate to victory on his personality alone. This is a dangerous game to play, and the guaranteed loser will be the people and city of New York. Mamdani’s victory in the primary has caught the Democrats off guard once again. They did not read the voters and thought that Cuomo would win handily over the upstart radical Mamdani.
Schumer and Jeffries congratulated Mamdani, but nobody in the Party leadership group will publicly endorse the man. They know that his far-Left platform will ultimately destroy New York, and if the Socialist Democrat movement spreads, it will take down the Party with it. To achieve success in the 2026 Midterms, the Democrats must move toward the center, as Cortez, Sanders, and Mamdani are splitting the Party by forging their individual paths.
Mamdani is going to have a history problem if his opposition is willing to criticize him and the media reports on the campaign objectively and honestly. For example, Mamdani has clearly proclaimed in the past that he would defund the police and replace it with a less aggressive form of crime control using intervention. Now that he is the Democrat candidate, he has done a 180 and says he is in favor of the traditional police force. If he can change so dramatically on such an important issue, what does that say about his conviction on the rest of his platform? Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., called on Zohran Mamdani to denounce the phrase “globalize the Intifada,” which she argues is received by the public as a call to “slaughter the Jews.” The candidate has yet to respond to the Senator’s demand.
One of the more puzzling elements of Mamdani’s surprise win is where his support came from and where it did not. With the plethora of giveaways he is proposing for the city, you would think he would have had appeal to the minority and lower-income New Yorkers, but these groups supported Cuomo. The support that gave Mamdani the win came from the upper-income voters, which is precisely the people he claims he will tax to pay for his programs. It makes you wonder if any of the voters were informed about the candidates’ facts or voted based on hype. Zohran Mamdani is not just a candidate for mayor of New York City but a movement away from Capitalism and openly toward Socialism, which is why Sandy Cortez bought a first-class ticket for his campaign train.
