One Year Of Making America Great Again

It has been only one year since President Donald Trump was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States, yet the difference could not be clearer. After four years of failure under Joe Biden and the Democrats, America is once again strong, prosperous, and secure.
Under Joe Biden and a Democrat-run Congress, families across the country were struggling. Inflation was at its highest level in 40 years. Gas, groceries, and everyday necessities were stretching families’ pocketbooks. Our borders were overrun by millions of illegal immigrants pouring into American communities, and our enemies took advantage of a weak administration.
On Jan. 20, 2025, Trump returned to office with a clear mission from the American people: put America first and deliver real relief. In just one year, he has done exactly that.
Trump and Republicans in Congress passed the Working Families Tax Cuts (One Big Beautiful Bill), the largest tax cut in American history. The bill will increase take home pay by up to $13,300 per family, end taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security, and stop taxpayer benefits for more than one million illegal immigrants. For American families, this relief made a real difference.
Under Trump, blue-collar wages have seen their largest year-to-date increase in nearly 60 years, and 100 percent of new jobs created have gone to American-born workers. That is not an accident, it is the result of policies that prioritize American businesses and American families.
Trump also promised to bring down prices, and he is delivering. Gas prices fell in December to their lowest level since 2021 and are expected to keep falling. Rent increases are at their lowest level in years and mortgage rates have dropped.
Despite criticism from Democrats and so called “experts,” Trump’s trade policies are working. The trade deficit is at its lowest point since 2009, and the government has collected more than $235 billion in tariff revenue since January. This is a massive win for American workers as businesses come back from overseas, creating American jobs and adding to our economy.
On the global stage, Trump restored American strength. The United States is no longer being taken advantage of by other countries. The U.S. is no longer footing the bill, and our allies are paying their fair share, including a new agreement requiring NATO members to increase defense spending. Trump has also secured trillions of dollars in private and foreign investment, bringing jobs back home.
At home, Trump has secured the border and ended Biden’s border crisis on day one. Despite Biden claiming there was nothing he could do to stop the flood of illegal aliens coming into our country, zero illegal aliens were released into the United States for seven consecutive months. Trump promised the largest scale mass deportation operation the United States has ever seen, and he is delivering. More than 605,000 illegal aliens have been deported, and an additional 1.9 million have self-deported, bringing the total number of illegal immigrants who have left the country since Trump returned to office to more than 2.5 million.
The President of law-and-order is back, and the United States is on track for the largest one-year decline in murders on record. Trump moved swiftly to combat the fentanyl crisis by securing the border, eliminating narcoterrorists, and designating fentanyl as a weapon of mass destruction. Trump has also taken historic action against drug cartels, designating more than 10 Latin American criminal organizations as terrorist groups, including MS-13, Tren de Aragua, and Clan del Golfo. Because of his leadership, drug overdose deaths have fallen every single month since he returned to office.
One year in, Trump has already done what many presidents fail to do in eight: restore American strength, lower costs, secure the border, and put working families first. With three more years ahead, the best is yet to come. America is back, and under Trump’s leadership, we are just getting started.
