When you watch your favorite news source or listen to the radio or podcasts, you know you are getting either a news or an opinion interpretation of the subject, and they can be very different. When I tune in to Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, or (why would I torture myself) Rachel Maddow, I understand I am getting their viewpoint of an event, which may be very different from what my senses absorbed when I witnessed it. That’s fine and fair game, as they are promoted as opinion sources and may deviate from reality. But when I am watching a news report, and it drifts away from the facts, I am infuriated, as this is a conscious effort to manipulate viewers into the viewpoint of the commentators. I am still furious about what I witnessed on CNN and MS NOW on Wednesday night as they recapped the President’s speech on the status of the conflict in Iran. They definitely heard a different speech.
I enjoy watching the news on 4-Square. I simultaneously monitor the feeds of FOX News, CNN, MS NOW, and the BBC and can listen to whichever feed I like. It is interesting how each network chooses the stories it gives attention to, but then the different angles they use to direct the focus. The glaring omission by CNN and MS NOW, as well as the legacy media, is when the event involves a crime committed by an illegal alien. An example is the killing of 18-year-old Loyola student Sheridan Gorman, a freshman from Yorktown Heights, New York, who was walking on a Chicago street when she was shot in the back and killed by an illegal alien. This story received a cumulative total of less than 4 minutes across all networks, other than FOX NEWS. The reason for this is that the mainstream media does not want to draw any attention to the notion that many of the illegal aliens roaming freely on our streets and in our neighborhoods are dangerous, and often deadly criminals. One reporter actually said that Gorman startled the shooter, almost alleging an act of self-defense. Though included in this total, I do not even consider the traditional alphabet channels of ABC, CBS, or NBC as being in the news business. Any segment of media that classifies The View as news programming has surrendered any credibility it once held. Boy, how we miss the early days of Brokaw and Jennings, and when 60 Minutes was can’t-miss programming. Tim Russert would be ashamed if with us today.
Though the trend began many years before, the networks really hit the slide in 2015 when they all turned on Donald Trump in unison. and TDS was unleashed. The pact they made with the Democratic Party and, specifically, Hillary Clinton was obvious and began the great divide in this country. I was watching a video highlighting the CBS coverage of the 2024 Presidential Election, and it was amazing to watch the team that was assembled to coronate Kamala Harris. The entire night was spent trying to invent ways that Harris could overcome Trump’s lead, but eventually turned into a wake for their dream and the candidate. Gayle King was distraught when she had no option but to announce Trump as the winner. They make no effort at all to hide their bias.
The loser in this conspiracy is the American people and America itself. Because of media manipulation, we have 8 million people on the streets on a Saturday afternoon, holding signs, crawling in costumes, singing out of key to protest a man whom they label as a Nazi or King, depending on the day. Because of the media, we have a communist mayor running our greatest city into the ground. Because of the bias, the failed governor of our most prosperous state is a leading candidate to be the next President. All of this is happening because the people are fed a false narrative, and because they have been indoctrinated and are too ignorant and lazy to seek the truth, they are buying the big lie. No foreign power needs to invade us. They can wait until we self-destruct and then pick at the carcass.

I missed that story of the gunshot victim in Chicago and I watch multiple media. The most glaring incident of lack of coverage is the Kirk Killer trial. Am I wrong on that? What is happening on that case? They went to court and……..????
You can’t hate the lying mainstream media enough and it has been going on for years. Remember the lie of “Hands up, don’t shoot” concerning Michael Brown who actually aggressively charged toward the police officer who shot him and never had his “hands up”. Or the fact that the media helped make the drug addicted thug, George Floyd, into a national hero and the Democrats practically gave him a state funeral as they knelt in African dress in the Capitol Rotunda to pray for him. Then the Democrats celebrated the BLM riots of 2020 in dozens of cities that did hundreds of billions of dollars of damage, injured thousands of police officers, and killed at least 24 innocent people. Then while you could watch the fires burning on T.V., the media had the audacity to call them “mostly peaceful” protests.
Now the media, in collusion with the Democrats, say that Renee Good was murdered in MN., even though she refused lawful orders to get out of her car and then tried to run over an ICE officer and it’s all on video. Just like they called Abrego Garcia (the wife beating, MS-13 gang banger) a “Maryland family man” to keep him from being deported. The Democrats purposefully stoke racial division and call all whites and Republicans “racists” to keep black and brown people on the Democrat Plantation and voting for them forevermore and the media allows it, condones it, and supports the lies. In fact, the media blatantly hides the immigration status or color of rapists and murderers so as to support the Democrats’ open border and “social justice” agendas.
We need stronger libel ad defamation laws to end the outright and blatant lying that now passes for journalism. And continued lawsuits like those from Kyle Rittenhouse, and The “Covenant school kid”, and like those won by Trump that are costing the mainstream media millions. It seems that bankrupting them is the only “truth” or restriction that they understand.
