I Nearly Always Agree With Trump, But Having Trouble On This One
There are very few times during President Trump’s two terms that I disagreed with the President, but I am having a difficult time defending his hesitancy to finish the job in Iran. I agree with him 100% that we had to take action to stop the Iranian nuclear program and its threat to the Middle East, Europe, and even the mainland United States. I believe that the bogus agreement with Iran, signed by Barack Obama and backed by Joe Biden, did nothing to prevent Iran from developing attack-grade uranium and the intercontinental ballistic missiles to deliver nuclear bombs at its adversaries. The planeloads of cash Obama gave Iran probably helped fund the effort, and the fact that there was no provision for inspections led to where we are today: on the brink of Iran being not only a nuclear power, but a rogue, radical nuclear nation intent on destroying Israel and the West.
Iran has been a threat to the world since 1979, forty-seven years of being the number one supporter of terrorism on Earth, and the world has sat back and watched. Trump saw the threat mature to where Iran was within weeks of having a nuclear bomb; they would not back down in their quest to have one, and they had to be neutralized. Epic Fury was a tremendous success in destroying much of Iran’s military infrastructure, including its navy, but they still have the uranium. You cannot negotiate with these people. One, because we do not even know who is in charge, and two, we know they cannot be trusted, regardless of what they concede to. Iran’s spokespeople say that Iran has every right to enrich uranium and that they are prepared to attack American bases. They must be stopped, and if that means destroying every military installation and/or oil facility in the country. There is no reason to wait.
We have all of the resources in the region and ready to do the job, and we have a nation that is growing more impatient by the day. I realize that diplomacy is the first weapon of choice for Donald Trump, but we are not deaaling with a normal country or government here. These people are terrorist thugs, and there is only one way to deal with an entity like Iran, and that is to annihilate the threat.
Trump was with the Chinese last week, and China is the number one customer for Iran’s oil. During President Trump’s visit to China in mid-May 2026, both sides explicitly stated agreement on this point:
- The White House reported that President Xi Jinping and President Trump agreed that Iran must never obtain a nuclear weapon.
- Trump stated publicly that he and Xi “feel very similar on Iran” and “don’t want them to have a nuclear weapon.”
This was one of the few areas of clear public alignment during the meetings, alongside keeping the Strait of Hormuz open. But, China would not agree to force Iran to capitulate to America’s demands and cease its weapons building.
At home, Trump’s approval rating, and by extension the Republican’s, is dropping as gas prices rise. With each passing day and week, we are making it more difficult for Republicans to hold off an offensive by Democrats in the midterms. If the Democrats take back the Congress, that will render the remainder of Trump’s second term dead. Nothing will pass, and the House will go into impeachment mode. Trump had the courage to attack Iran, he cannot go meek on us now when it is time to finish the job.

I agree. Finish the dang job or let Vance and Rubio take your job. You used to be so strong but Now you seem tired and wedk. Leave Cuba along. Finish Iran or let Dems take over and then they will let Iran have a nuke. Happy then Mr Trump. You could have finished the job but you are weak, just like Massey and Cassidy plus the Indiana senators. Do your freaking job or resign.
