When Massachusetts Governor Healy was asked about granting the CDLs, she responded, “These people are going to drive with or without a license, so we may as well issue them one.” Her saying that is as absurd as the practice of these liberal states. When Tom Homan, “border czar” for Trump’s second presidency, was asked to respond to Healy’s remarks, he said, “Let her call the family of Trooper Pahira and say that.” Trooper Pahira was a Pennsylvania trooper recently killed when hit by a truck driven by Michael Bon, an illegal alien from Haiti, who was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter. ICE lodged a detainer for him the day after his arrest.
According to federal data and statements from the Trump administration’s Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), at least 17 fatal crashes involving non-domiciled CDL holders (often linked to undocumented or improperly documented immigrants) were identified in 2025, resulting in around 30 deaths.
