Plenty Of Joy To Go Around, Except For Joy
Joy Reid often taunted the Republicans for crying about outcomes, mocking them as children who could not handle the adversity of reality. Oh, how the tide has turned. There were plenty of tears to go around as Joy Reid hosted the final episode of the horrendous MSNBC prime-time show ReidOut on MSNBC. Nobody felt sorry for one of the least talented hosts on MSNBC except for her close friends and relatives, who by the ratings, are the only ones who watched her show.
The only people who may be sad to lose Joy Reid are those at FOX News and SKY News. Both networks claim they must dig deep to find someone who gave them so much material to mock. When Joy was parodied on the two Right-leaning networks, she got her greatest exposure. Just as a comparison, The Reidout has been entertaining about 55,000 viewers from the 25-49 demographic, while Sean Hannity is preaching to a little over 3 million a night. In her final hour, she was joined by three equally bad journalists, Rachel Maddow, Nicholas Wallace, and Lawrence O’Donnell. It is no more incredible honor than in your worst moments to be supported by three similarly bad talents.
Ironically, this purge of MSNBC was the network’s equivalence of a DOGE moment. The network evaluated its product and found that certain people were not producing for the network. They were too much cost and not enough revenue. They had to go. That is the bottom line in business, as it should be in government.
The three amigos who joined Reid on her final show also took shots at their bosses and employers. They best be careful, as they are now at the bottom of the rankings and might be the next out the door. Of course, Maddow, who is being forced by the network to work five nights a week for her $25M salary, chose to make the firings racial. The left must make everything about race when they cannot defend their positions. Maddow was acting more like Madd Cow. Throwing around ridiculous praise for Joy Reid and equally absurd accusations about her bosses, she went over the line, and if this happened in the public sector, Maddow would essentially be terminated. She never mentioned Reid or Alex Wagner’s talent. She was disgusted that two non-white employees lost their gigs.
To me, this is high-level racism. Rachel Maddow never mentioned the talent of the two people cut by MSNBC. She was concerned that the network had only two people of color, and they were both removed from their shows. Maddow claimed that releasing two people of color is indefensible. When MSNBC hired these people, were they selected because of their talent or the color of their skin? You folks want the world to ignore race or color until it fits your narrative, making you total hypocrites.
The reason this network is in the financial situation it finds itself in is because of paying Rachel Maddow $30M for one hour a week and then hiring lousy talent that spews hate and racism as the reason for every political scenario. Face it, Rachel, your network has bad talent and a horrendous message. It has been caught telling misinformation numerous times and is now paying the price. If that sounds familiar, it could be a synopsis of your show. Be careful, or the MSNBC version of DOGE may come knocking on your door. We can only hope, but we can dream!
